Letter from Lauren Woolwine

Hello Everyone,

This past year as Lambda Alpha President has been a wild ride. I appreciate all of the effort each and every one of you put into this organization this year and being patient with me as I attempted to figure out how to help everyone get the most out of their membership. I hope you all had as much fun as I did! However, my year is quickly coming to an end and I will be passing the torch to Nick Craw, your president for 2018. I hope you welcome him as much as you welcomed me. I am very excited to see what he will bring to Lambda Alpha next year. Of course, you all are welcome to contact me if you ever need help with anything from choosing a course to research. I will be around next semester and am always happy to help!

I am also very excited about all of the participation that the Pitt Anthropology Research Symposium received! I hope you all enjoyed it and think about continuing that as an annual event.

I am sure Nick would love it if you had any suggestions for the coming year for Lambda Alpha! If you have any such suggestions, please feel free to fill out the contact us form on this site.

Happy holidays everyone!

Lauren Woolwine

The first-ever Pitt Anthropology Research Symposium was a success! Our presenters Theresa De Cree, Monica Merante, Patti Smith, and Lauren Woolwine did a fantastic job! I would like to thank everyone who came out to support our undergrads and hope that you found some inspiration in their work. If you think you would be interested in presenting at an event like this in the future, please feel free to contact us.

Keep up the great work guys!
